The SAFE Lutheran foundation was established to accept donations for Missouri-Synod Lutheran Schools in southern Arizona. ARS 43-1089, enacted in 1998, allows Arizona taxpayers to donate to school tax organizations (STOs), to direct funds to parochial or private schools for scholarships and tuition grants. Providing there is a state tax liability, taxpayers may qualify for a tax credit of up to $1000 (if filing jointly) or $500 (if filing singly.)
