Why Donate?

By reallocating your tax money to SAFE-Lutheran, you will be blessed with the knowledge that you are helping a child learn about Jesus Christ as their Savior, while also receiving an excellent education.

An Arizona taxpayer can give up to $1,000 if filing jointly or $500 if filing singly, to SAFE-Lutheran, a foundation established to grant scholarships to children attending Missouri Synod Lutheran schools in Southern Arizona. State statutes allow the donation amount to be returned to you, at the time of tax filing, providing you have a state tax liability.

Each school has students of all faiths and backgrounds.  If you need specific information about a school, please contact the schools.

Parents interested applying for a scholarship for their child should contact the school where the child attends. School boards will request scholarship funds from the SAFE-Lutheran Board; if approved, the funds will be applied directly to the student’s account.

Employees can request that employers use Arizona Form A1-C to reduce withholding in an amount equal to income tax credits for which the employee will qualify when filing their income tax return.
